Milton Resources for SCL 2018

Here are some resources for understanding and teaching Milton's Paradise Lost.

• I've placed several files in a shared folder on my Google Drive. The PDFs marked "student" are versions I hand out to students. Those who choose to write their term paper on Paradise Lost also receive Ch 13 from Lewis's Preface to Paradise Lost. The other PDFs are for the teacher. I've also uploaded my conference paper and PowerPoint presentation.

• Christ's College, Cambridge has created Darkness Visible, a website that provides a number of excellent resources for studying Paradise Lost. Be sure to check out their picture gallery. Students love looking at images and identifying the scene they illustrate.

• From 2002-2012 a movie starring Bradley Cooper as Lucifer was in production. It was canceled in 2012, but you can see some information about it at paradiselost.org. This site looks like a 1998 GeoCities fan project, but it has some good resources. Their illustration page has the benefit of being organized by scene description.
